Kaboom!, 2016, two-channel video installation.
Kaboom! is staged on a video ad-truck as it makes its way through traffic in a busy downtown
center. The truck’s digital billboards display a slow circulation of debris that simultaneously
explodes and implodes in an endless loop.
This unexpected and opaque broadcast prompts a series of questions: Could this be an
advertisement for a new film? Has something unimaginable happened? Under what
authority and set of criterium has this spectacle been circulated?
